Originally founded in 1978 as JCS Industrial Sewing Machines by Jack Cottell, OmniSew is now managed by Jack’s son, David. Jack spent some 36 years in the sewing business before he founded JCS, most of it in the manufacturing side of the business so there is very little he doesn’t know about sewing machines and the problems operators face day by day. His first objective on founding the business was to try and solve some of those problems by specially adapting standard machines to meet the operators’ requirements.
Having worked with his father for years building his knowledge and experience, David has now taken over the reins and is continuing to develop the business to meet the needs of today’s specialist requirements, particularly for wedding dress and Irish embroidery manufacturers.
Upholstery, carpet and curtain makers have long been an important part of the business and David still provides a range of equipment ideally suited to their requirements too.
Such is OmniSew’s reputation for high quality, reliable equipment that OmniSew is proud to have satisfied customers all around the world. Our customers can be found in countries as far apart as Australia, and New Zealand to Canada and the USA from Spain and France to Turkey, Tai Wan and Japan.
Whereas you will find us under the OmniSew name most often we now differentiate our cutting and pressing equipment under the names of OmniCut and OmniSteam. Similarly, we use the brand OmniFix to define our range of fixing products. Just remember our aim is to help you cut it right, sew it right and press it right!
